Translanguaging is a way that multilingual learners use their entire linguistic repertoires for their communicative and academic needs. As teachers, we can capitalize on this process in the classroom to give students the ability to fully access content and demonstrate their full understanding of new concepts.

The CUNY-NYS Initiative on Emerging Bilinguals website has amazing resources to support Rhode Island's educators to thoughtfully use translanguaging in their classrooms and schools.
