Support RITELL in continuing to honor Nancy Carnevale with the Nancy A. Carnevale Grant to classroom teachers. This grant is given annually to teachers who exemplify Nancy's life and career.
Initial funds raised for this award at the time of Nancy's untimely passing will not be sufficient to support the award after this year's cycle of funding.
Please honor Nancy by contributing to the Carnevale Grant so that RITELL can continue to honor outstanding K-12 teachers of ELs.
The Nancy A. Carnevale Grant honors Nancy A. Carnevale, M.Ed., a National Board Certified Teacher of English as a New Language (ENL) who invested her 38-year career in supporting urban ELLs and their families. She exemplified the "can-do" philosophy and serves as a model of best practices in urban education for ELLs. The $500 award may only be used to fund a project which meets specific criteria (learn more).
